Dale Lum is a partner in the San Francisco office of Sidley Austin LLP. He has an international practice and represents every major U.S. investment bank and commercial bank in its structured finance business, as well as a number of major U.S., Japanese and German companies.
Dale has been very active in Sidley Austin’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, serving on its Diversity Committee for many years, and teaching Contracts in the Sidley Prelaw Scholars Program. This program subsidizes LSAT preparatory course and law school applications of high-performing economically disadvantaged college students, and includes a multiday program in Chicago where participants are introduced to law school, various first year classes and the legal system.
Dale has been a Board Member and Board Co-Chair of the California Minority Counsel Program, and is a trustee of the Graduate Theological Union, North America’s largest consortium for the graduate study of religion.
