Jane is currently a regulatory attorney at Uber, navigating complex legal issues for the mobility business in the West region, including California (one of the company’s biggest markets). She is passionate about crafting balanced regulatory frameworks for new products and technology. Previously, she spent several years at national law firms as a litigator. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia Law School and Boston College for undergrad. As the daughter of Korean immigrants and the first in her family to attend law school, she is committed to promoting greater representation, particularly racial and socioeconomic, in the legal profession. She has advocated for underrepresented groups throughout the course of her legal career, including providing pro bono assistance to the elderly in Brooklyn, NY housing court to prevent unlawful evictions, mentoring law students during their diversity internships at Uber, and representing an inmate in federal court by bringing civil rights claims against the New York Department of Corrections for the illegal actions of prison guards. During her free time, Jane loves to spend time outdoors hiking, at the beach, and traveling with her family and two dogs.
